Epiphytic herb.Stem short, up to 2 cm long.Roots very numerous, up to 20 cm long, 1–1.5 mm in diameter, light grey, unbranched, many hanging free and not attached to the substrate.Leaves few, sometimes absent (when the plant has the appearance of Microcoelia), 11–35 × 2–5 mm, oblanceolate, with a petiolate base.Inflorescences pendent, 2–4 per plant, 4–8 cm long, 6–10-flowered.Pedicel and ovary 8–10 mm long, very slender; bracts sheathing, 2–3 mm long.Flowers greenish-white.Dorsal sepal erect, 4–5 × 1 mm, lanceolate; lateral sepals spreading, 4–6 × 1 mm, obliquely spathulate.Petals similar to dorsal sepal but slightly smaller.Lip 4–5 × 1 mm, narrowly triangular; spur 18–23 mm long, tapering from a wide mouth to become very slender.
