Information
Rhizome up to 90 cm. long and 10 cm. in diam., erect or procumbent, with tufted fronds and with very narrowly linear attenuate entire rhizome-scales up to 3.5 cm. long with a dark-brown central stripe and paler borders. Frond erect to suberect. Stipe pale-brown, up to 20 cm. long, glabrous except for the base which is densely set with scales similar to the rhizome scales. Lamina up to 1.4 x 0.36 m., narrowly oblong in outline, acute with a narrowly oblong acute terminal segment, base with up to 9 pairs of basal pinnae gradually reduced, the lowermost rudimentary. Sterile pinnae up to 22 x 2.4 cm., very narrowly oblong acute, subsessile with an unequally cuneate base, entire, usually revolute, glabrous on both surfaces except for minute brown lanceolate scales up to 1.5 mm. long along the costae; fertile pinnae up to 22 x 0.3 cm., linear, acute to rotund at apex, subsessile to very shortly petiolate. Rhachis pale-brown, glabrous at maturity. Sori linear, extending almost the whole length of the fertile pinnae; indusium pale-brown, c. 1.5 mm. broad, linear, lacerate at maturity.
