Information
Rhizome up to 6 mm. in diam., horizontal, densely clothed with light-brown to reddish-brown multicellular hairs up to 5 mm. long. Stipe up to 13 cm. long (longer in Angolan type), stramineous, thinly villous with brown multicellular hairs up to 2.5 mm. long. Sterile lamina up to 11 x 7.5 cm., ovate-deltate to ovate-oblong, 2-pinnatifid to 3-pinnatifid; rhachis thinly villous. Sterile pinnae shortly petiolulate to sessile, sparsely villous above and below, segments rounded, adnate, decurrent, minutely shallowly crenate. Fertile pinnae erect, shorter to longer than the sterile portion, with petiolules up to 5.5 cm. and the fertile pinnae proper up to 10 cm., 3-pinnatifid, the segments up to 1 mm. broad, villous; rhachis thinly villous. Sporangia in 2 rows.
