Information
Rhizome horizontal, up to 6 mm diameter, densely covered with light brown to reddish brown multicellular hairs up to 5 mm long. Stipe straw-coloured, 10–22 cm long, with brown multicellular hairs up to 2.5 mm long. Sterile lamina ovate-triangular to ovate- oblong, 7–16 cm long, 4–8.5 cm wide, 2–3-pinnatifid, hairy; sterile pinnae sessile to shortly petiolulate, sparsely hairy, the segments rounded, adnate, decurrent and minutely shallowly crenate. Fertile pinnae erect, shorter than to longer than the sterile part; petiolules to 5.5 cm long, the pinnae proper to 10 cm long, 3-pinnatifid; segments to 1 mm wide, long-pilose; rachis hairy. Fig. 2.

Notes
Even A. angolensis does not seem to me very distinct from A. schimperiana. A. simii does have a distinct facies as well as glabrous fertile frond-segments, but the species are ill-defined, at least in Africa.
