Information
Small tree 6–15 m. tall. Crown sometimes very wide-spreading. Bark dark, roughly scaly. Leaf-lamina 6·5 x 3·0–11 x 5 cm., lanceolate-elliptic or elliptic, apex distinctly acuminate, base broadly rounded or subcordate; petiole 0·2–0·6(0·8) cm. long. Receptacle (including pseudopedicel) + calyx 0·45–0·6 cm. long; calyx + upper receptacle 0·2–0·25 cm. long; filaments 0·6–0·8 cm. long. Fruit unknown.
Habitat
In montane forest on well-drained slopes, montane fringing forest and secondary montane grassland.
Range
Confined to the F.Z. area.
Altitude range
Mostly between 1350 and 1750 m.
