Notes
Mass-germination in this species was seen in the Mufindi area in March 2006 (pers. obs.) following flowering in late 2005 (C. Congdon, pers. comm.). There are other reports of the species flowering gregariously, but not of it actually dying back after flowering. The populations in S Tanzania are very disjunct from the main area of the species but no significant morphological differences can be found.
