Leaves ± sessile; blades 20–50(–80+) × 4–12(–35) mm, sometimes obscurely to clearly 3-lobed. Peduncles 5–30+ cm. Ray florets 0 or 5–8(–13+); laminae 6–15 mm. Disc florets 15–80+; corollas 4.5–7.5 mm. Cypselae 4–5 mm; pappi of lacerate crowns 0.5–1 mm plus 0–3 bristles or awns 4.5–6 mm. 2n = ca. 52.

Discussion
