Information
Glabrous climber up to 1.5 m tall; lateral shoots sometimes stunted. Leaves opposite on normal shoots, in verticillate clusters on stunted lateral shoots, sessile to shortly petiolate; blade linear to very narrowly ovate, 45–85 x 2–10 mm, obtuse to attenuate at the apex, cuneate to rounded at the base, with revolute and undulate margin. Inflorescences lax, frail, with few-flowered, monochasial branches; peduncles 2–10 mm long; pedicels 3–5 mm long. Sepals 1 x 0.5 mm, ovate-triangular, acute. Corolla-tube shallowly campanulate, 0.5–0.7 mm long; lobes oblong-ovate, slightly reflexed, 6–11 x 2–4 mm, creamy yellow, pale greenish, white flushed mauve or pale mauve, acute. Corona-lobes creamy yellow; basal part columnar, 2–3 mm long; terminal part 2- or 3-fid, segments filiform, 2–4 mm long. Follicles cylindrical-ovoid with blunt to acute tip, 85 x 5 mm, reddish-brown.
