Information
Evergreen shrub or tree up to 9 m tall; bark fissured or corrugated. Leaf-blades oblong to oblong-ovate, 2–16 x 1.2–6.5 cm, rounded to subacute at the apex, slightly to distinctly cordate at the base, glabrous, glossy, rather coriaceous, with distinctly raised venation and often grey when dry; petiole up to 2 mm long; stipules 3–8 mm long, with raised median line when dry. Flowers sweetly scented. Calyx-tube and limb-tube together 3–5 mm long; lobes up to 2 mm long, ciliolate. Corolla white; tube 0.5–1.2 cm long; lobes oblong-elliptic, 0.6–1.1 cm long. Anthers 6–7 mm long. Fruit 6–11 mm long, green becoming red. Seeds ovoid, c. 5.5 mm long.
