Information
Calyx lobed for about 1/3 to 2/3 of the length. Corolla usually white.
Range
N2, 3; C1 not known elsewhere.
Altitude range
130–1300 m.
Distribution
SOMALIA Hansen & Heemstra 6314; Thulin & Warfa 5407; Thulin 10970.
Notes
Ikaron, oraq (Som.).Boulos in Flora of Egypt 2: 282 (2000) also recorded subsp. suaediformis from south-eastern Egypt, but no material has been seen. The plants in Somalia are very variable in, for example, leaf shape, indumentum and length of calyx-lobes. Subsp. drepanophylla, with calyx lobed almost to the base and yellowish corolla, occurs in Yemen and Oman.
