Information
Woody climber with twining branches. Leaves 8–21(–30) cm long; leaflets 3–5(–7), lanceolate to ovate or elliptic, c. 5–11 x 2.5–6.5 cm, acuminate, shiny, subglabrous. Pseudoracemes terminal or axillary, 10–28 cm long. Calyx subtruncate, subglabrous with ciliolate margin. Corolla white to very pale mauve, 9–12 mm long. Pod ± kidney-shaped, 3–4.5(–5.5) x 2–3(–3.5) cm, rounded on the lower side, narrowly winged along upper edge, pale, subglabrous, usually 1-seeded.
Range
S3 coastal parts of eastern Africa southwards to Natal, Madagascar, Mascarene Is., and tropical Asia and Australia.
Altitude range
c. 50 m.
