Information
Shrub or spindly tree, 1–2.5 m tall. Leaves clustered; stipules linear-triangular, about as long as petiole, setose-hispid; petiole 2–4 mm long, hispid; blade broadly ovate, 4–13 x 3–12 mm, cuneate at base, rounded or acute at apex, setose to strigose above, paler and tomentose below. Pedicel 23–35 mm long, setose, with glandular peltate hairs and 4 caducous basally united linear-triangular bracteoles. Sepals 5–6, reflexed during anthesis, lanceolate-caudate, 15–17 mm long, setose and with glandular peltate hairs outside. Petals 5–6, obovate, c. 12 x 4 mm, with transversely elliptic fleshy and densely hairy ligules (nectar covers) near base. Stamens 5–6; filaments 6–7 mm long, with 2 short spurs near base; anthers 3 mm long. Ovary 5–6-celled, tomentose; style 10–11 mm long, glabrous in upper part. Fruit 17–20 x 7 mm. Seeds ellipsoid.
