Information
Subshrub, up to 1.5 m or more tall; stems and leaves pubescent to tomentose. Leaves with 1.5–10 cm long petiole; blade suborbicular, up to 10.5 x 12 cm, cordate at the base, shortly acuminate to rounded or emarginate at the apex, with usually sharply dentate margins. Flowers in ± leafless densely glandular-pubescent and sticky panicles, also with long simple hairs; pedicels 1–4.5 cm long. Calyx 5–9 mm long, densely glandular-pubescent. Petals 15–25 mm long, yellow to orange. Staminal column with scattered stellate hairs all over. Mericarps 10–16, 10–13 x 5–6 mm, c. 3-seeded, dorsal corner angled or with an up to 0.5 mm long awn. Seeds c. 2.5 mm long, with short simple curled hairs.
