Information
Shrub or tree to 10 m tall; bark grey to blackish; branchlets reddish brown, pubescent. Leaves including petiole 4–10 cm long; petiole 1–3.5 cm long, pubescent; pinnae 6–12, alternate to opposite; leaflets 6–14, alternate to opposite, oblong to obovate, 5–15 x 2–6 mm, glaucous, sparsely puberulous, entire, rounded to retuse at the apex, cuneate at the base. Inflorescences from axes of fallen leaves, 1–3 cm long, sparsely puberulous; pedicels 5–9 mm long. Female flowers: sepals triangular, c. 0.5 mm long; petals yellow, elliptic, 4–5 x c. 1.5 mm. Ovary c. 2 x 1.5 mm, flattened, narrowly 2-winged, fiddle-shaped in outline; style c. 0.5 mm long; staminodes c. 2 mm long, more than 4 per flower. Fruit broad-winged, circular, 2.5–4.5 cm in diam., yellow with pinkish wing. Seeds c. 10 x 5 x 3 mm, brown.
