The evergreens will be required in garlands to be affixed against the walls or to hang from pillar to pillar. Hall asks if Hooker might be able to spare a good quantity of cut branches that could be made up at the Palace [St James's]. Hall requires about one cart load to try the effect on Thursday 14 [Jan] or Friday the 15 [Jan]. They will decide how much they want depending on the effect produced: hopefully three or four cart loads. What Hooker cannot supply, Hall will get from Windsor.
