Shrub, up to 3 m tall, glabrous; branchlets with weakly spinescent tips. Leaves solitary or 2–3 clustered on cushions, 3-foliolate; petiole 2–4 mm long, sulcate; leaflets obcordate to orbicular, c. 2–6 x 2–4 mm, puberulous, the terminal one attenuate into short petiolule at the base, the lateral ones subsessile, oblique. Flowers pedicelled, glabrous. Calyx c. 3 mm long, irregularly 5-toothed. Corolla yellow, c. 12 mm long; tube c. 3 mm long; lobes suborbicular, subequal, c. 6 mm wide. Stamen-filaments 7–10 mm long, inserted deeply in corolla-tube; anthers c. 3 mm long, dorsifixed. Disk ring-shaped. Style up to 11 mm long, filiform. Capsule 1–3 x 0.5–1.4 cm, greyish-brown, beaked. Seeds c. 6 x 8 mm, excluding the winged margin.
