Several weeks ago they sent RBG Kew the preliminary announcement of the new JOURNAL OF ECONOMIC ENTOMOLOGY. The second number has just been published and the enclosed reprint of the cover and content of the first two numbers [not attached], will show the character of the papers and general scope of the work. The first two numbers are also filled with the proceedings of the Chicago meeting of the Association of Economic Entomologists, previously published by the Bureau of Entomology, United States of America Department of Agriculture. The size of the journal and its frequency of issue et cetera will depend upon the support received. Every cent received will be put into its improvement. The journal has received enthusiastic commendation from economic entomologists throughout the world and evidently fills a long felt need. Sanderson wonders if they may have RBG Kew's subscription at once, thus securing the success of the enterprise for the first year. Annotated as ordered through Dulan. Page 1 of 1.
