Description
The Department has a few species and varieties of tree seeds that require early attention. He has, therefore, today sent to the British Legation for transmission one package containing 11 kinds, addressed to RBG Kew. He hopes they reach in good order. The trees listed include: Quercus virens, Q. phellos, Q. castanea, Magnolia acuminata, M. grandiflora and Carya olivaeformis. Watts signs himself as Commissioner. Page 1 of 3.
