Description

MacDougal will spend January to June 1893 collecting phanerogams, ferns and other related forms and parasitic fungi in the vicinity of Colima, Mexico. He will make a limited number of sets comprising around 600 phanerogams and ferns with a smaller number of lower ferns. The determinations will be made at the National Herbarium and Harvard Herbarium by Mr Rose, Assistant US Botanist. The sets will be sold at the usual rate. Special attention will be paid to altitude notes and fruiting phases. MacDougal has experience in the field and will not collect inferior material: Dr Coulter of Bloomington, Indiana, will vouch for MacDougal's skill.
