Description
Not having written for some time, Barber states that he has a certain amount to report. Firstly, that Green is to take charge of an agricultural school in Dominica. Secondly, that things are going better with the Horticultural society, although he has decided to be 'busy' at the times of the meetings he is still unwilling to attend. He also reports that he has met with Davis of Dominica who Morris may know as an opponent of the government and the whole 'white element'. He reports on the Commission of Enquiry, which has decided to condemn[?] the botanical station. He ends by saying that overall he is pleased with the state of the department and adds that the Governor has asked him to investigate the cause of the Cacao crop failure in Dominica. Page 1 of 3.
