Description
Henry thanks his correspondent for his note about specimen 1234. The two numbers of the INDEX FLORAE SINENSIS have not yet arrived. Henry goes on to provides notes on around 16 specimen numbers including: Ilex, Chrysanthemum, Sapium, Stachyurus, Ligustrum, Rubus, Kerria japonica, and a Magnolia called Hou-P'o, the bark of which is valuable in Chinese medicine. Information is given to identify specimen numbers or provide localities. He would like to know what number 1258 is [annotated as Hedera helix] and he would like the numbers of Neillia sinensis and Oligobotrya henryi. Pages 1 and 4 of 4.
