Description
Cave writes in reference to Hill's acknowledgement of his last letter and mention of a mis-sent letter enclosed with it. It seems that, owing to a mistake by a clerk there, the seeds intended for Hill were mixed up with those intended for another correspondent. As a result, Hill was missing a few species, which Cave will try to rectify at another time. In reply to Hill's letter of 2 Aug 1922, he is arranging to collect some orchids during the coming cold season and Lieutenant Colonel Gage has consented to see to their shipment to Calcutta [Kolkata].
