Description
Frere has not left his bed for half an hour nor experienced an absence of pain for ten minutes since he last wrote. He has received from his brother, 'H. Bartle E.F.' [Henry Bartle Edward Frere] in Scinde, specimens of Dimeria ornithopoda, or so Mr Dalzell names it, as well as seeds of Anticharis. The latter Mr Dalzell thinks is a discovery for Sindh. He has also received seeds of Pavonia zeylanica and Cucumis trigonus, all of which he has great pleasure in sending to Hooker. His brother, who sent the satin wood naves is 'William E.F.' [William Edward Frere], provisional Member of Council at Bombay [Mumbai]. Page 1 of 2.
