Description
Begonia sutherlandi Hook.f. published illustration from Curtis's Botanical Magazine. Uncoloured lithograph. This species was discovered by Dr. Sutherland, in the western mountains of Natal at an altitude of 3500 feet. It has also been collected by Gerrard, and by Mr Cooper, who was sent out by Mr W. Saunders. The specimen here figured was provided by Backhouse of York, with whom if flowered in June, 1867.
