Description
Lasiosiphon anthylloides Meissn. original illustration from Curtis's Botanical Magazine. Watercolour and pencil on paper. The specimen was sent for figuring by Mr Lynch, from the Cambridge BG in 1889. J.D. Hooker describes how this species has a wide range of distribution, from the hilly districts of Natal, the Transvaal and Orange Free State, to latitude 28º South, ascending 4000 feet on the Winterlock mountains near Uitenhage, in nearly 34º South latitude.
