Description

Kirk informs Hooker that Johnston has returned. He has himself just returned from the South and has not had the time to have a look at Johnston's collections. Kirk says that Johnston claims to have spent three weeks on the upper part of the mountain, and comments on this not being very much time at all. He is curious to see how Johnston fared as a collector, but he mentiones he has brought back some nice sketches. He fears there will be a famine on the coast and informs Hooker that he encloses seeds that will need drying. Page 1 and 4 of 4.
