Tidmarsh informs Dyer that the Pinus insignis and Tobacco grew well and thanks Dyer for the Kew report. He mentions that the Willow cuttings did not do well and discusses this in further detail. He requests Australian or South American Cyads or tree ferns. Tidmarsh informs that he can send Cyathea dregei and Hemitelia capensis and provides details on growing them. He asks if Lady Barkly or Dr Atherston sent a branch of Tillandsia and discusses the plant taking in ‘…carbon by means of the leaves.’ Page 1 of 4.
