Description
Bates has received the report on the first collection of plants he sent to Kew but he was disappointed with so many being marked doubtful or with only the genus name given. With the next package of plants to be sent, Bates will include other specimens, of better quality, of those that were not certainly named. Bates calls attention to a few mistakes he thinks were made regarding specific specimens from the first collection. Bates now sends 140 new specimens, 100 having been gathered about 60-70 miles inland in the forest belt at Efulen. Contains a note at the end of page 3 signed J. G. B. Pages 1 and 3 of 3.
