Syntype of Solanum violaceum [family SOLANACEAE]
Notes
The presence of the few spines on the blue form, especially the solitary one on the midrib of the upper surface of the leaf, seems to mark it distinct from the white form, which has no spines and the shorter and less acuminate calyx lobes of the latter which should be of sufficient distinctness to give it at least a varietal distinction.
