Notes
Robust annual herb to 2.1m high, never branched from ground level, more robust plants branching profusely from upper axils. Stems upto 3cm thick at the base, mostly reddish. Leaves slightly bullate paler beneath. Involucre much longer than broad at the anthesis. Corolla pale blue (mauve artificial light) Pappus sodid.
