Kern VII/1953 Label2: Cyperus filicinus Vahl, Enum. Pl.2: 332. 1805. Holotype! (only Virginia is mentioned by Vahl) This is not C. polystachyos, which has smaller achenes, narrower spikelets, + smaller scales. Gordon C.
