Name Taraxacum orcadense, Dahlstedt, new species, in *Transactions of the Botanical Soceity of Edinburgh,* vol. xxix, pp. 304-5 (1926). (fide Hugo Dahlstedt, who saw this specimen at Stockholm, Sweden, on 27th April 1926.) Popular English Name Dandelion. Habitat Grassy ditch at roadside. Height above sea-level 150 feet. Station Tiffyhall, Deerness, Mainland, Orkney, Scotland. Date 12th May 1925. Collector Henry Halcro Johnston. Reference Number 2920. Remarks Native. Common. Plants in full flower and in unripe fruit. A new species discovered by me (Henry Halcro Johnston) on 21st April 1922, when I collected four specimens of Reference No. 1550 when the plants were sparingly in flower. Label2: This is good Taraxacum orcadense Dt. Vulgaria Det. ?? 1967
