Solander but this name is illegitimate as it is a superfluous re-naming for Andropogon barbatus L. 1759.Incorrectly indicated as the syntype of Andropogon barbatus. The Sloane plate in Voyages which corresponds to this specimen is cited as original material for the Linnean name.
