Biography
British clergyman and botanist who trained at Cambridge University and became rector of North Fambridge, Essex. His herbarium, one of the earliest to include cryptogams, was acquired by Sir Hans Sloane and formed part of the founding collections of the British Museum. The material is in a good state of preservation and contains some of the most accurately named material of the period. The genus Buddleja L. was named to commemorate Rev. Buddle.
