Biography
English botanist who created a herbarium at Marlborough College, Oxford as a memorial to her son who died in the First World War. Rubus wedgwoodiae Barton & Riddelsd. was named in her honour. Wedgewood interacted with many other botanists, collecting together or exchanging specimens, and material came to BM through a number of sources. Some was acquired directly, for example in 1932, but material from the herbarium of A. Bennett was bequeathed with the herbarium of C.E. Salmon in 1931. Specimens collected with H.J. Riddlesdell were acquired with the herbarium of W.C. Barton, donated in 1934.
