Biography
Germany mycologist who specialised in rust fungi (Uredineae). His worldwide treatment in Engler and Prantl's Die natürlichen Pflanzenfamilien was acknowledged as the standard account for many years. Mycological specimens at BM were probably all transferred to K (c. 1961) under the Morton Agreement.
