Biography
Amateur British botanist who was daughter of Silvanus Thompson. R.F. Thompson worked mainly on her local flora around Settle, Yorkshire, and specialised in Hieracium. Specimens at BM from Yorkshire labelled 'Ex herb. R. F. & F. P. Thompson' are variously cited and interpreted, sometimes mistakenly as a single individual.
