Biography
Walter Siehe was a German engineer and businessman who lived from 1897 in the Cilician region of southern Turkey. He regularly collected plants in the mountains of Adana and neighbouring regions, sending his collections to European herbaria. He also exported bulbs for cultivation and submitted a series of papers on his botanical explorations to the Sammler and Allgemeine Botanische Zeitung, under the title "Botanische Forschungsreise nach Kleinasien".
