Biography
Swedish botanist from Stockholm who variously specialised in the genus Viola and algae. The genus Wittrockia Lindm. and the cultivated pansy V. x wittrockiana Gams ex Kappert were named in his honour. Algal material was transferred from K to BM after 1960 under the terms of the Morton Agreement.
