Biography
Coffee planter in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) who also collected plants in Ceylon and in north-western Himalaya (1882-c. 1900). He emigrated to New Zealand (1903) where he also collected. His main pteridophyte herbarium, including material of other collectors, is at LIV. Bryophyte material sent to K was subsequently transferred to BM (c. 1961) under the terms of the Morton Agreement.
