Biography
American mycologist who trained at the University of Illinois, Chicago (BS, 1984) and the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (MS, 1987, PhD, 1990). Specialist in systematics, biogeography and floristics of Ascomycetes, particularly Loculoascomycetes and Pyrenomycetes. Assistant Curator, Mycology at the New York Botanical Garden (1991-1993) and subsequently Assistant Curator, Mycology at the Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago. Neotropical field work in South America and the West Indies has included co-collection of spermatophytes.
