Biography
South African stockbroker born in Graaf-Reinet, Eastern Cape, who was the son of Harry Bolus and worked in the family firm in Cape Town. He cultivated indigenous plants and often accompanied Harriet Bolus, his sister-in-law and curator of his father's herbarium, on collecting excursions.
