Biography
German ecologist from Bonn, the daughter of J.H.R. Schenck. She trained at the University of Heidelburg (Dr. Rer. Nat. 1918) and In 1924 she married plant ecologist H.K. Walter. Erna Walter made cryptogamic collections in Namibia during visits with her husband in 1935, 1937-1938 and 1952-1953.
