North American botanist on the faculty of Neuchâtel University, Switzerland.
Jason Grant was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and attended the University of Alaska (BSc 1998). He gained his PhD at Neuchâtel in 2003. He has also worked at the University of Maryland and the Smithsonian Institution. Grant's key interests are bromeliads and gentians and geographically his research focuses on the Andes and Alaska. Two species are named after him, Symbolanthus jasonii J.E. Molina & Struwe and Tradescantia grantii Faden.
