Biography
French botanist at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris, formerly of the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD), based in Tahiti. Florence is an authority on the botany of French Polynesia, having carried out extensive field work on the islands. The first volume of Florence's Flore de la Polynésie Française appeared in 1997, followed by a second in 2004.
