Biography
Swedish botanist. Arne Anderberg received his PhD from the University of Stockholm in 1985 for his studies in the Inuleae-Inulinae (Asteraceae), and since 2001 he has been Professor and Head of Phanerogamic Botany at the Swedish Museum of Natural History. His botanical collections support his phylogenetic research on Asteraceae and the families of the Ericales. He has published over 100 papers since 1974, as sole or shared author, is a member of the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group, and is involved in web-based projects such as the Linnean Herbarium, Den virtuella floran, and the African Plants Initiative. The genus Anderbergia B. Nord. in the Asteraceae bears his name.
