Biography
American plant collector and teacher. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Emily Gertrude Halbach married A.A. Heller in 1896. She collected with him, illustrated many of his publications, and collaborated with him on the short-lived journal Muhlenbergia. In 1925 she earned a BA from Chico State College. Lupinus hellerae Heller is named after her.
