Biography
Eugene Vesco was French naval surgeon aboard the Uranie who collected plants in the Marquesas, Tahiti, Madagascar and Mauritius. The Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, received 1,520 plants from the Marquesas and Tahiti in 1848 and 434 plants from Madagascar and Mauritius in 1850. Vesco also made zoological collections.
