Biography
Botanical artist from Fort Worth, Texas, who collected with her husband, Cyrus Longworth Lundell, in Texas and on botanical expeditions to Guatemala, Mexico, and Belize for the Carnegie Institute and University of Michigan in the 1930s and 1940s. Many of her botanical paintings can be viewed in a suite of rooms near the Rare Book Library of the University of Texas, Austin. The type specimen of her one eponym, Abronia ameliae Lundell, was discovered near the coast of Texas.
