Biography
German pteridologist and teacher. Eduard Rosenstock amassed a great collection of ferns, chiefly deposited at Berlin and Munich. He taught at a high school in Gotha and added to his collection by exchange with other botanists as well as making his own collections. Rosenstock described nearly 2,000 species, publishing mostly in the journals Hedwigia and Repertorium Specierum Novarum Regni Vegetabilis.
